1 Mile walk to Disneyland Security
Overall, I might stay here again. Here are my thoughts.
In planning my travel adventures, I aim to stay within my budget while also considering comfort and additional amenities. This hotel is budget-friendly, but it may lack some of the extra features that enhance a Disney stay. A solid option that's peaceful and clean.
#1: Location
The walk took 20-25 minutes depending on pace to the front of security. Normally a 20 minute walk is quite comfortable, but in the mornings when trying to beat the crowds it can feel stressful. And after hours at the park it can feel exhausting. The Toy Story parking lot is nearby (about a 10 minute walk), but it doesn’t actually save time. We’d often take the shuttle back after time in the park which was a nice rest to our legs. In the mornings, the shuttle will have a line which can feel like a time waste. There was an ART shuttle stop very nearby the hotel, but we never used it.

#2: Insides and Outsides
The hotel has an apartment complex type feel. It’s a timeshare that was clearly converted from apartments. The first room we were given was on the second floor. The room was large and and clean and nice, but right outside was Orangewood ave which was a bit busy and noisy. I was also nervous about being on the second floor without an elevator. Our kiddo was destined to fall asleep in the stroller and not having a way to transfer to the room was a concern for me. I called the front desk and they kindly changed us to a first floor, pool view room. (though when we checked in, I was told this room type wasn’t available...) To be fair, the busy street view was better than the pool view room. The first floor was kinda dark and in the shadow of the hot tub. But, the ability to wheel our sleepy kiddo into the room was worth it.
The room was large. A bit oddly furnished (kinda felt a little empty). But the open space made space for playing. And being on the first floor meant we could dance around. Full kitchen. En-suite bathroom in the bedroom (did I mention it was a one bedroom?). It was a very comfortable room.
In addition to a large pool and hot tub, this resort had an adorable mini golf course complete with sand traps (the biggest hit of the entire thing for our kiddo).
#3: Pros and Cons
Pros
Price
Room type (spacious 1 bedroom suite w/ kitchen)
Mini Golf
Comfortable
Cons
Distance to parks
Second floors don’t have elevators
Slightly dated feel
#4: The Final Score
The distance to the parks would be the reason I choose not to stay here again. However, the price is right and sometimes the price determines if a trip happens or not. If we were to stay here again, I would ask for a room in the back of the resort. The back area had more of a “garden” feel. Peaceful and quiet. Not sure what the view would be like, but from what I could tell, the windows would look out onto the courtyard. It’s also worth noting, my kiddo has requested to stay here again. The mini golf was such a huge hit. And I guess kids don’t really mind the long walks to and from the park when their little legs are in a comfy stroller ;).
Worth noting: This is a timeshare, but no one tried to sell us. That was a big relief. This property is part of the Worldmark timeshare circuit. We booked via AirBnB and it was a really good price. $175 per night was a good deal. The property is rather peaceful and our kiddo enjoyed it a lot.
3 out of 5 stars.
Would stay again.
Price: $175 per night via AirBnB.
